Snow Day???

So i kinda want a snow day, however we wont get one. gahanna is always the one school that makes the choice in the last minute and they dont care if rural roads, like mine, are plowed. they jus say as long as hamilton is good we are gunna have school which is dumb. but they need to know the facts.
1. it has been snowing almost non-stop all day
2. most of the snow and water has frozen (i would know. i had to scrap the ice off of my car 2day after i had let it sit for only an hour.
3. the temps outside are supposed to be single digits to teens in the morning.
4. the wind chill is supposed to make the temps 0 to sub zero and that is going to be happening all day.
Whats the worst that could happen? maybe only one kid gets frost bite and only a couple of kids get killed on there way to school but as long as we dont have to call off one day then its all ok. yeah thats not cool. you know what else is not cool, cam newton winning the heisman! this entire situation with newton is deja vu of the reggie bush scandal and most of us know how that turned out. theres one other thing thats not cool. i still dont get what the point of the blog is. its weird like is it to get to know our fellow class mates or is it for extra points oh well. im still thinking that i should have done this earlier but oh well. alright i might see all of you 2moro in english! Just Like Always

So I had another really boring week. I guess it was because i knew I wasn't going to have a good weekend. So Monday Through Friday was pretty boring due to school hahaha. But Friday night I went to the varsity basketball game. Guess who I saw there!!!! MR. POTTER!!!!!!! hahaha I saw him coaching. But yeah we won like 95-48. We destroyed them. We had like 20 points before they had 1. But after that we decided to just drive around for 30 minutes. We drove all around Gahanna and tried to find a place to hang out. But we couldn't. We failed. But then we decided we were hungry and went to Kanes. We saw Stevie there after the game but yeah over all not that great. Then I woke up early on my Saturday! Why? Because I had to go take a defensive driving class. It was pretty fun except I felt they were just trying to destroy our car. But we were able to speed and skid out and stuff like that. I would recommend it. Id have to sat though that the classroom part was SOOOOO boring. But it took up most of the day from 8.30 to 4 but oh well. Then after that we got our Christmas tree!!!!! Ha oh and Auburn won witch SUCKS! But then i slept in today now I'm doing english homework. oh well ill see you guys tomorrow.

John the Great Mascot Debator

The first piece of writing we read was Nightjohn. This was a story of a man named John who had escaped from slavery but came back for a specific reason. That reason was to teach young kids that were still slaves how to read and write. When he first got to the plantation, he looked like a regular slave. He was a very large and strong man and he has scars on his back from being whipped before. At this plantation is the south, he found his next student. This students name was Sarny. Sarny was born to the plantation and worked there as long as she has been alive. She was young and was eager to learn to read. The John came and taught her slowly how to read and write. The eldest of the slaves, Mammy, did like the idea of her reading. She said that if the master found her reading that they would kill her. Mammy told of stories how others were killed. First there was Jim. He took off one night and did everything possible to make it so the dogs couldn't get him. They did and killed him while he was hanging in a tree and the master just left his body there. The there was Pauley. He didn't run. He met this girl from another plantation in the middle of the night. He fell asleep and as he was coming back the dogs killed him. Then there was Alice. She was kept alive and raped specifically for breeding. One night she ran to the edge of the plantation and lied there waiting for the dogs to kill her. Even after hearing these stories, Sarny insisted on learning.

The next story we read was Mascot. This is a story of Malcolm X as a child. He was one of those children that was put into a reform school for behaviors. He soon got his behavior under control and was able to go to the only public middle school in the city. The teachers didn't take much intrest in him however. The reason that he was so hard core into civil rights was because of what one teacher said. One day the teacher asked him what he wanted to be when he grew. When he said he want to be a lawyer she said, "You're black and you can't be a lawyer." This is why he was one of the civil rights activists that didn't mind using violence in getting their opinion across.

There are a lot of things the same between the stories and the movie The Great Debaters. First, in the movie the young woman wanted to become a lawyer and as well did Malcolm X. In the movie and in Nightjohn the settings were similar with them both being i the south. Also they saw their own kind having brutal things happen to them in Nightjohn with the dogs and in the movie with the Lynch mob. Also in all three, they had a strong leader who was either willing to educate or be educated. Also in all three you saw the struggle of African Americans in society and there struggle for equal rights.

Well this was kind of an uneventful weekend. First we had our team get together on friday nite and spend the nite in the wrestling room. we payed dodgeball at 1 am and played so much xbox. we finally got to bed at lik 2.30 and had to wake up at 7. We had a scrimmage to go to at groveport madison for 3 hours. i was so tired it wasnt even funny. all we did was go live the entire time and now my body is so sore. well after that i went home and watched the buckeyes suck......... again. we barely won and i kinda think we didnt deserve to win but oh well a win is a win. during this entire tike i was able to hang with my girlfriend sammi and that was so much fun! Then me and sammi went to kayla krontzs party until 10. that was fun although it was jus like homecomin but not as many people. i took sammi home and wen i got home, i was so tired that i crashed immediately. then sunday came and i was at the highschool again for team pictures which wasnt that fun but they are pictures. now im doin my english and regretin not doin some homework in study hall friday but ill get it done.

Crap

So i kinda didn't post last sunday so i'm making sure i do it this week. Not much happened this weekend. I hung out with sammi friday night and we watched rambo. yes rambo. it's the greatest movie to watch with your girlfriend. Then i had to wake up early on my saturday. lets just say that i had to be at the school at 7.30 in the morning. yeah it was bad. and then having to practice that early was horrible but i lived so it was ok. then i hung out with zak. we drove all around Columbus and then it happened. so this dude decided to cut me off making me go up the curb and curb my rim. wow i hate people. yeah it didn't look good at all.  but after that we hung out at zaks house for a little while and watched the game. We then went to my house and watched the game. yeah we were bored. we drove to random houses to watch the game. we also stopped by sammis  house where i was the rest of the night. i then woke up sunday morning at 11. i finally got to sleep in. i then played call of duty black ops for 4 hours beating the campaign. Now i'm doing my homework last minute just like all the other good students. Over all great weekend.

Nothing

So........ I feel like I have accomplished nothing this weekend. Friday I sat at home and did nothing. Oh well at least varsity won there last game. We finished 5-5. Thats the first time in like four years that we didn't end with a loosing record. Then I woke up early on my Saturday to go to a wrestling tournament. It was the Delaware Halloween Classic and I finished second at 140. I just know I need to get into a lot better shape before the season actually starts. But oh well. I went 3-1 and beat a senior who finished eighth at the state tournament last year. Oh...... and out jv won. hahahahaha. Then later that night I went to Andrew's house and we watched the game.......... sorta. It kinda got boring after the second quarter so we just stopped paying attention. That's when we decided to go and sticky note Maggie's car. She was so mad it's not even funny. We later left and OSU won, Mich. State lost, Mich. lost, and Oregon destroyed. Overall good weekend of college football. Then Sunday came and I didn't feel like doing anything so I didn't. I made sure everything was ready for the English paper due tomorrow and then did nothing the rest of the day. So overall I got nothing done over this weekend. GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a weekend!!!. It was an amazing varsity game with us coming out on top like 49-7. One bad thing about it was it was cold as all get out. It had to have been like 30 degrees or something. But overall good night. The Saturday morning and the jv game. This made me upset. It was Gahanna-7 Reynoldberg-0 Refs-14. These refs at this game were so bad that it was literally too hard to watch. And then at the end all they did was talk smack to us even though the refs had to pretty much hand it to them. But oh well, Groveport better watch out. I then went to Sammi's house to watch the OSU game where we totally destroyed Purdue 49-0. It was fun hanging with her and her dad. After that I went to the school. We went to the wrestling room and cleaned it up a little by replacing light bulbs and stuff like that. Then we went to coaches place to watch UFC. It was an amazing all up until Lesnar lost. Oh well. Then I got to speed home so that way cops didn't find us driving out past curfew. Then Sunday came around and all i did was hang out and do English homework. Now it's 9 pm and I'm doing this blog. Worst 7 Days of My Life

So I'm not really upset that OSU lost. I kinda saw it coming because we always get cocky when we get to No. 1. Oh well, we better be ready for Purdue. Yeah I didn't have a very good week at all! And the long weekend was just the same. Thursday morning I woke up and I wanted to be at school again. It was just not a good weekend. The best day was Saturday when I saw the Social Network and then went to a party. I went to the movies and had a good time with Sammi and then went and hung at Anna'd house where I saw my first Saw movie. Yeah it sucked hahah. Yeah I saw number 6 and the only nasty part was the beginning of the movie. The rest you could tell what was going to happen and made it really boring to watch.But the Social Network wasn't that bad. It's really hard to follow though. Like this guy was a real low life geek but then he made facebook. After that he became this real annoying dude. All he cared about was his stupid website. But Mr. Potter I got a question. What is the point of these? Are they supposed to be to stay in touch with everyone or just so we can do more for english? Modern Day Hangover

So................ im tired!!!!!! I had my own version on the movie the Hanover last night and it was epic. So first me and my group go and take pictures on a playground and a cement roller for some reason. Like how stupid is that! But then we head to Kayla's house when I watch No. 1 Alabama LOOSE!!!!!! OSU is the big No. 1 now! Then we ate pizza and headed for the dance. Towards the end of the dance I end up in the grind fest and then got caught in this circle of girls that would just change which guys she was dancing with every song and yeah.... it was kinda GREAT!!!! haha Then we went to Anna's house for the after party where we danced and watched the hangover (i know its ironic that my night is like the hangover and we watched the hangover). But after our after party we decided to hang at giant eagle at one in the morning where we bought red bull, canned cheese, and crackers. We the end up in this camper and we are up until .30 in the morning. We wake up at 10 and Luke Radloff is missing. So we go looking around this property for like an hour. Finally we decide to call him and he was at his house asleep hahaha. So that was the last 18 hours for me. And yes i did just tell my entire homecoming story on my blog for english!

OMG!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I started my Saturday off well when I went to the JV football game. And they won like 38-13!!!!!!!!! I'd like to point out that KJ made and amazing catch, we absolutely destroyed, and we are still UNDEFEATED!!!!!!!!!! Luke Mokma was the best looking cheerleader out there along with Kevin, Kevin, Dominick, and Elliot. Then my day slowly got worse. First I get home to see Ohio State LOOSING to Illinois. I was happy to see we won but we did not play like the No. 2 team in the nation. Then I watch and see as LSU becomes the luckiest team in football this week. They should have lost that game and they know it. Tennessee won the game and thats that. Then the final blow. I was so looking forward to wearing my Indiana hat to school on Monday after they beat Michigan, but of coarse Michigan made their quarterback do all the work to win the game. Oh well Indiana still won in my heart. I just can't wait to see OSU destroy them in November. And Mr. Potter, I guess what you said about Indiana's rush defense was true, it did suck. But they dominated in the air however.  Now time to change to TKAMB. The end of that book was bad!!! I didn't like it at all. It should have like ended with a bang. Maybe Boo finally shows his face to the town. Or maybe he lets Scout see his house. Or maybe he kills her. It can't just end with Atticus sitting next to Jem reading. Que Pasado!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! This book is getting so intense! I actually felt like reading ahead tonight because I want to know what happens! And something that made me mad. Mr. Potter makes us take the test with no notes and I get all 15 but when he gives us open note I get 13? I don't get how that happened but oh well. Oh and I don't know if you heard but......... BUCKEYES WON 73-20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I even had to stop watching after the first half. It actually began to bore me so I watched Miracle at St. Anna. That is a good WWII movie and I would highly recommend it. It's got an amazing story behind it and it truly is a miracle. "With safety there are no risks and with no risks there are no miracles and miracles are the only sure thing in life." Oh and i guess after driving more that 60 hours over the past 6 months, my mom finds it ok to use up two hours of my life on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night! Yeah i had a boring weekend.

Ok so driving in the rain with the top down isn't as bad as it would seem. It was actually kinda fun except for the inside of the car getting wet but oh well. I just kinda wanted to add to my blog but I'm about to go to bed so I can wake up early. Why? So I can go watch the JV game! Oh and even though Mr. Potter likes Michigan..... I hope they loose. So I just stood out in the pouring rain and hail for some odd reason. My mom said there were supposed to be winds up to like 50mph so I wanted to stand outside. Then it started to rain which I didn't find bad....... until. That's when I got hit in the head with a piece of ice that fell from the sky. I guess that was a sign telling me I should go inside instead of standing outside with tornado sirens going off. Oh and THERE IS A POOL IN THE BASEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was texting one of my friends who had to go down under B gym and she said it exists. This made my entire night!

Here's Another One

Why can't the titles of books be what they are actually about? To Kill A Mockingbird is not about such a thing. It's about some dude named Boo Radley and some kids who are always being mean to him. Why don't we call The Story of the Neighborhood Punks? But enough about the title. Overall the book isn't half bad. It's not great but it's not the worst book I have read. Oh and one good thing came out of this weekend. On Monday we might not have a quiz considering Michigan won and all but I don't know. I hope we don't have one but oh well. Well it's time to be done with this blog. Now I get to go and do math homework. What fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
